Sheriff Gates awards scholarship to teen

Sheriff Dusty Gates an- nounced that Sarah Hamilton of Union Parish has been named the recipient of an academic scholarship from the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 school year. She resides in Farmerville and plans to attend University of Louisiana at Lafayette with Nursing as her field of study. Her parents are Dusty and Crystal Hamilton.
