Maverick Tucker is the 9-year-old son of Matt Tucker of Downsville and Samantha Tucker of Linville. The fourth grader at Darbonne Woods Charter School was asked to share some things about himself and his experience with Union Parish 4-H: “I live in Union Parish, and I love how friendly and nice everyone is. I have a little brother and a cute golden doodle named Willow. I have a huge family whom I love so much and who I am so thankful for, and they always tell me how proud they are of me. This is my first year in 4-H. I love everything about 4-H. This year I am looking forward going to 4-H Camp for the first time this summer. In the future, I am looking forward to earning a 4-H Scholarship and becoming a Junior Leader. I would highly recommend others to join 4-H. You will have a lot of fun and get to learn a lot and try new things. The reason I chose to become a 4-H Member is because my mom and dad were both in 4-H. In my free time, I like to relax, play sports (basketball, baseball, and football), going mud riding with my dad, hunting, fishing and playing video games. Something you might not know about me is that I won first place in the spelling bee at school. When asked who I look up to, I would say my dad and my cousin, Ethan Boggs. I am so thankful for my mom and dad because they take me to all my sports events, school events, and 4-H events.
