Special Olympics comes back to Farmerville

The Union Parish Library hosted the third annual Special Olympics on Friday, May 3rd, at the Town of Farmerville Boys and Girls Club Gymnasium. Renee Simpson, chairman, and member of the outreach team put together the successful event had this to say: “This year we had 33 athletes from three schools with their 16 teachers to compete in this year’s game.”
Athletes competed in six events: hurdling, corn hole toss, soccer, archery, obstacle course, and football.
