Rickey Dean Dison, age 66, of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi passed away peacefully Sunday, December 17, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born November 5, 1957, in Truxno, Louisiana to Wilber Dean and Karleen Black Dison.
Rickey was preceded in death by his wife Lola Wooten Dison, his mother, Karleen Black Dison and brother Dave Dison, grand-parents Bertha & Grady Black, Fay & Corbert Dison, and great niece Avianna Figueiredo.
He is survived by his father Wilber Dean Dison, sister and husband Vicki & Bart Figueiredo, all of Shreveport, Louisiana. Nephews and family, TresPaul, Brittani, Lily & Tripp Figueiredo of Bossier City & Colby, Alyssa & Aiden Figueiredo of Freeport, Florida
A memorial service honoring the life of Rickey Dean Dison will be held at Edgewood Plantation Chapel, 8876 Hwy. 2 (Bernice Hwy), Farmerville, LA 71241 on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2 p.m. with Dewayne Ramsey officiating the service. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Plantation. The family suggest memorial donations be made to Brookhaven Animal Rescue League in his honor. They were nice enough to adopt his best friend Jack to a new forever family. www.barl.net
