Qualifying for Fall Elections Opens On Wednesday, August 5th

 Union Parish candidates have three days to file for the November 3 election 

Candidate qualifying for Louisiana’s fall elections will begin Wednesday, August 5, and continue through Friday, August 7. 

In Union Parish, the qualifying period includes candidates seeking election to the Third Judicial District Court, which serves Union and Lincoln parishes, as well as all 9 seats on the Union Parish School Board—Districts 1 through 9. Other offices appearing in the fall election cycle include district attorney, 3rd district judge, justices of the peace 1st and 3rd District, constables, Bernice Mayor, Chief of Police, 5 Alderman, Marion Mayor, Chief of Police, 5 Alderman, Downsville mayor, Chief of Police, 3 Alderman, Junction City Mayor, Chief of Police, 3 Alderman, Lillie Mayor, Chief of Police, 1 Alderman, Spearsville Mayor Chief of Police, 3 Alderman, and Louisiana’s congressional seats..
