On Sunday, May 12, 2024, while traveling home from work, Patrick unexpectedly passed away following a tragic car accident. He was born July 17, 1986 and was 37 years old. Patrick graduated from Farmerville High School in 2004 and began working for Alarm Monitoring Services where he was employed for 18 years. Patrick loved his friends and family. He had a huge heart and was one of the calmest and most gentle souls you would ever meet. His circle was small, but full of love.  In his free time he loved to watch movies, go camping, play games and was always up for trying the strangest thing on the menu, food or drink. He was quirky and funny with such a carefree attitude.  To know him was to love him. Patrick was always willing to help others. He was selfless, and even after his death he continued to share life with others by donating his organs. What a legacy and incredible gift he gave. He will be dearly missed and we are already looking forward to the day we will see him again.

Patrick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mae and Eugene Book and paternal grandfather Floyd Hendrix. Loving memories will always be held in the heart of his survivors: his mother, Shana Book Taylor (Tony) of Marion, Louisiana; father, Mark Hendrix (Delores) of Springfield, Tennessee; sister Danielle Boggs (Shane) of Farmerville, Louisiana; step-siblings, Afton Zahn (Phillip), Clay Taylor, Colt Alley and Kendra Little (Casey); grandmother, Ima Jean Hendrix; aunts and uncles, Tracey Hendrix, Kaye Womack, Paul Book, and Rusty Maples; and lifelong friend, Jonathan Paschal; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Boggs, Brian Book, Ethan Davidson, Jonathan Paschal, Ian Smith and Clay Taylor. We wish we could see you one more time, come walking through the door, But we know that is impossible, we’ll hear your voice no more. We know that you can feel our tears, and you don’t want us to cry, Yet our hearts are broken, why did someone so precious have to die? We pray that God will give us strength, and somehow get us through, As we struggle through the heartache, that came when we lost you. – Stephen Hope Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
