Harvey Davis

Harvey Leon Davis, born September 28, 1951, beloved husband, father, grandfather,
died peacefully at home after a very lengthy battle with cancer on April 5, 2023.

Harvey L. Davis

Harvey grew up in Dubach, Louisiana and was a member of the Class of 1969 of Dubach High School. He worked for the Ruston Fire Department for 33 years and 2 months, retiring as a District Chief.

His life was filled with his love for Jesus, love for his family, cooking for anything and everyone and riding Harleys. He loved cooking for his family and his Calvary church family, and he was the best cook ever. Everyone has always looked forward to the annual BBQ Chicken Fundraiser and Calvary’s famous BBQ chicken. He loved that tradition.

He loved taking motorcycle trips on his Harleys (either one) and even the planning of the trips. He was a member of Calvary’s Faith Riders motorcycle ministry and the Cornerstone Sunday School Class. He was very fond of finding unique and good places to eat. He could always give you a recommendation if you told him where you were going!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Sue Davis. Left to cherish his
memory are his wife of 33 years, Bridgett Davis of Ruston; daughter, Lauren Davis
Jones and husband, Corey, of Dubach; stepson, Marine Gunnery Sgt. Justin League
and wife, Sue of Jacksonville, North Carolina; five grandchildren – Brooklyn Jones,
Bentley Jones, Brennan Jones, Amber League and Atticus League.
