I’ve already started wearing my Halloween T-shirts. I don’t want to get left behind and end up on Oct. 31 with three neatly folded T’s still sitting in my closet, as I do most every year.
Yep. Last Thursday – Oct. 1 – I wore my black shirt with orange lettering that says, “You can’t scare me. I sing barbershop!” And I led the chorus through physical warmups with “Monster Mash.” My shirt with the glittery spider on the front now lies in wait.
All this preparation has got my mind going. I’ve begun thinking about spaceships, aliens, black cats, scarecrows and all that jazz. (You know how easily my mind starts to wander – and wonder.)
So I thought I’d share some of those random Halloween-ish musings with you:
– If aliens landed on the earth (or if they have already and they have not assimilated yet), I feel certain they would think that the most valuable substance in the world is … plastic. I mean, people run around, pulling these little plastic rectangles out of their pockets or their purses, and they manage to acquire more stuff than is imaginable.
