Crappie Masters tournament comes to UP Feb. 23

Lake D’Arbonne is the site of the second stop on the 2024 Crappie Masters Schedule as the best anglers from across the country get ready to battle it out for the guaranteed $20,000.00 prize purse February 23rd & 24th, 2024.
The First Crappie Masters National Qualifier was back in January on Lake Talquin with the team of Ethan, Brayden and Mike Nipper taking home the top prize with a two-day total of 23.12 lbs.
Diving into this event for February 23rd & 24th, we are expecting a full field of anglers from across the country to once again make the trip to beautiful Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville, LA for another “Shoot out on the Bonne” in hopes on breaking into the top twelve places for this event for their share of the $20,000.00 guaranteed purse.
We are more than likely to see winning weights on ten fish from two days of competition to break the 20-pound mark with the big fish from the event to near the three-pound mark once it’s all said and done.
Anglers be sure to get signed up by February 21st, 2024 on our website or by giving the office a call. Tournament Registration will be held at the Farmerville Recreation Center with check-ins taking place from 5:00 p.m. – 6 p.m. with the official rules meeting beginning at 6 p.m.
Fishing Hours will take place from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. and you must be returned to the weigh in line by 4 p.m. Livewell checks will take place from 5– 7 a.m. at Rhett’s Tails and Shells along with our weigh ins being held there both days.
The tournament is sponsored, locally, by the Town of Farmerville, Union Parish Police Jury, Union Parish Chamber of Commerce, Union Parish Tourist Commission, and the Louisiana Office of Tourism.
