Christians know that we Do NOT want to be late for that great banquet with Jesus when we get to Heaven. We don’t want the gate of Heaven to be closed to us when we arrive. How do we ensure that we will be welcomed with open arms by our Lord and Savior? A good start would be living each day with this song in our hearts:
Here I Am, Lord Songwriter, Daniel L Schutte Sung by Collin Raye
I, the Lord of sea and sky I have heard my people cry All who dwell in dark and sin My hand will save
I, who made the stars of night I will make their darkness bright Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night
I will go Lord, if You lead me I will hold Your people in my heart
I, the Lord of snow and rain I have borne my people’s pain I have wept for love of them They turn away
I will break their hearts of stone Give them hearts for love alone I will speak my word to them Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night I will go Lord, if You lead me I will hold Your people in my heart
I, the Lord of wind and flame I will tend the poor and lame I will set a feast for them My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide ‘Til their hearts be satisfied I will give my life to them Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night I will go Lord, if You lead me I will hold Your people in my heart
Oh, I will hold Your people in my heart
In our beautiful loving, giving church we often change the line where God asks “whom shall I send?” from “Is it I, Lord?” to a servant sentence saying (NOT asking)… IT IS I, LORD. Let us be intentionally aware of our blessings, aware of our sins and aware of our scared duty to serve others in the name of Christ Jesus. Let each one of us Not Be Late in serving Jesus through our daily good deeds.

Responses to Truth ~ II Corinthians 7:10-17
Continuing our verse-by-verse study of II Corinthians, Paul explains to the church that he had felt confident he knew what the response to his letter of correction would be.
Even though his words correcting false teachers and false beliefs in the church may have sounded harsh, and even hurt some feelings, he knew there would be two types of sorrow as a result – worldly sorrow and godly sorrow.
Worldly sorrow is simply the world’s (unbelievers’) response to God’s Truth – anger, hatred, direct attacks on the message and the messenger. The rejection of God’s Word and His Truth ends in spiritual death.
For the most part, however, the people of the Church experienced the godly sorrow that leads to repentance and life. At first, the people may have felt a little sting at Paul’s correction, but the end result was that they realized their errors and returned to the Truth. This is why pastors must preach even difficult texts.
Verses 11-12 lead us down the path a believer usually takes to godly sorrow: Earnestness-an eye-opening moment
Self-vindication-they want to be right Indignation-holy anger
Fear-understanding of God and where they are inside or outside of His will Longing-desire to be back where God wants them to be
Zeal-passion and enthusiasm for God
Desiring righteousness-a burning disdain for what is wrong Innocence restored-back in step with God through Grace
Godly sorrow leads to repentance and restoration, to a joyful and abundant life lived in obedience to God’s Truths.

Message For our graduating High School Seniors and All of Us.
The Preparation For Separation
II Corinthians 6:17 and Jeremiah 1:4-8
God has a specific plan for everyone. We should all seek His plan for us.
Psalms 139:2-6 and 13-17
The Destination Of Separation Jeremiah 11:7
Your destination is your mission field. Our high school seniors are moving to new mission fields as they graduate and go out to new positions as adults in the world.
I Corinthians 13:11 tells us to put away childish things as we become adults.
The Consolation In Separation Jeremiah 1:6-8
Do not worry about what you need to say or do; if you stay close close to God He will give you the words to say and tell you
The way to go. The Lord is always with us. He does not move away from us, we just need to make sure we do not move away from Him.

Romans 1:18-32 – Crime, violence, gay marriage… What is wrong with America today? For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. As a nation we have begun to turn our back on God. Many are like Samson; But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him (Judges 16:2). Because I have called and you refused … Then they will call on me, but I will not answer… – Proverbs 1:23-28. Sin has become so rampant, that it seems God’s grace is slowly being taken away.
People dishonor their bodies through the use of drugs and alcohol, abortion, euthanasia, rapes, murder, and the list goes on in Romans 1:28-31 . People, who know the righteous judgement of God, do these things, anyway. Many have forgotten we were created in God’s image. Bibles are being taken from public schools; prayer is forbidden; even cancelling free speech like on social media.
Christians must stand up and speak out! There is a GOD! We must obey Him, and follow His teachings. Repentance begins at the House of God! God will do whatever HE needs to do, in order to get us right with Him. There are sins of omission – to do something and not doing it, as well as sins of commission – doing what is wrong in the sight of God. Let us each ask ourself, “LORD, what am I doing wrong?” And then, get right with Him.
