Cowboy Quotes (FB)
In the quiet dawn, when shadows
fade,
A choice arises, unafraid.
The heart, it knows the path to take,
Where truth and honor gently wake.
Though tempests rage and voices
loud,
May seek to turn, may shroud in
doubt,
Stand firm, unwavering in sight,
For courage thrives in doing right.
Through trials harsh and tempters
sly,
When easy roads seem close nearby,
Hold fast to virtue, pure and bright,
For peace resides in doing right.
When weary steps begin to slow,
And darkness tries to steal your
glow,
Remember this, the guiding light,
Your spirit soars in doing right.
In every act, in every word,
Let kindness be the song that’s
heard.
For in the end, through day and
night,
A soul finds strength in doing right.
Micah 6:8: “He has shown you,
O mortal, what is good. And what
does the Lord require of you? To act
justly and to love mercy and to walk
humbly with your God.” Galatians
6:9: “Let us not lose heart in doing
good, for in due time we will reap if
we do not grow weary.”

Joshua may have seen more of the
supernatural workings of God than

any man who ever lived. He walked
through the dry seabed of the Red

Sea. He ate manna and quail pro-
vided by God’s hand. He walked

around the walls of Jericho. He saw
God give victory after victory to

Israel. Joshua’s most famous utter-
ance, found in Joshua 24:14, came

not long before his death, “…But as
for me and my house, we will serve

the Lord.” Most of us would pro-
claim Joshua’s statement as our own

desire, and so did the Israelites. “We

will serve the Lord,” they cried, con-
fident and sure of their continuing

devotion to the God who had shown
them favor, who had poured out His
love and provision on them. There
was no other god who could stand
against the Lord their God! But their
devotion and commitment would

sadly fade, as does ours all too of-
ten. The false gods of this world can

draw us away. The gods of plea-
sure, greed, entertainment, power,

knowledge, success, relaxation and
satisfaction can easily begin to lure

us away from our zeal and com-
mitment to the Lord. We can’t stay

close to God, living righteously in
our own power. But when we come
to a saving, life-changing faith, the
Holy Spirit comes into our lives
to provide two things: 1) The seal
of Jesus’ saving grace, and 2) The

power to live for God and experi-
ence the change He desires in us.

Pastor Bubba Hoggatt
Bro. Bubba’s message today was

“Blessed Assurance Part II. Omni-
science “ Psalm 139. God has

all knowledge. Any discovery we
make, God already knew. He gives
us that knowledge. The Psalmist
declared, this is too high for our
understanding. The Psalmist was in
awe of God‘s sweetness, goodness
,and his love for us. God is in every
conception, formation and birth of
a baby. He formed us and made all

our parts. Weaving a beautiful tap-
estry is a picture of God creating us

before birth. Each of us is a master-
piece that God has created. Not even

knowing any of the scientific infor-
mation that we now have about our

bodies, the Psalmist was amazed at

how each of us is fearfully and won-
derfully made. God places a spirit

in each of us. He owns and loves
every one of us. Those who accept
salvation are magnified. We are his
beloved. We should never feel that
we are alone. He loves and forgives
us. As we sleep, he protects us and
prepares us for our day. When we
wake, we are aware of Him. God is
more wonderful than we can know.
He loves us and gave his life for
us. Give your heart to God. Accept
his gift of salvation. Some have.
Many still have not.

Associate Pastor Stephen Murry
Acts 19:11-20 – And the evil spirit
answered and said, “Jesus I know,
and Paul I know; but who are you?”
Does the devil know who you are?
Sadly, there are some Christians he
has never known. They have never
caused him any concern. And then
there are Christians, who cause him
much concern.
So, what makes the difference?
Christians not talking the way they
should talk; using profanity such
as the world. Christians not living
the right example before the world.
Acts 11:26 And the disciples were
first called Christians in Antioch.
This was a condemnation by the

world, saying they were an exam-
ple of Christ. Can that be said of

us? Christians not getting involved

in the work of the Church. Not wit-
nessing to others, whenever the op-
portunity arises.

Paul was an example of one who had
done a lot of business with demons,
opposing them at every turn. While
Paul lived, Hell had no peace, for he
was constantly proclaiming Jesus,
while standing against Satan. Paul
lived out, Philippians 1:21 – For me
to live is Christ, to die is gain!
If we are committed, consecrated
Christians, the devil will strive to
harm our testimony. But like Paul,
we too can overcome battles against
the devil. Second Corinthians 2:14
reminds us – Now thanks be to God,
who always leads us in triumph in

Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ de-
feated Satan at Calvary, when HE

died for our sins, and then rose from
the dead in Victory. What kind of
testimony do we want to have? I
have been crucified with Christ; it is
no longer I who live, but Christ lives
in me – Galatians 2:20.
