Sorting facts from crud with a sly smile

Well, I just couldn’t stand it anymore. I
HAD to order the board game Fact or Crap
off of eBay.
Some of you may remember an August
column where I confessed that I let
Fact or Crap get away from me at the
local Rolling Hills Bookstore. When
I later searched on Amazon, the $45
price tag nearly knocked me off my
chair. Hence the visit to eBay.
Now before we go further, let me
say: I realize that the dictionary labels
the word “crap” as “usually vulgar”
or “sometimes vulgar,” based
on its usage. So I don’t really want to
play a game with hundreds of cards basically
throwing that word in my face. That’s
why I’m planning a remedy – like printing
“Crud” on hundreds of address labels and
sticking them over the offending letters.
We’ll see … Meanwhile
