In a decisive vote last Saturday, Louisiana voters rejected
Governor Landry and the legislature’s request to strip additional
constitutional rights from the citizens and transfer them to the
bureaucracy.
Four proposed amendments were requested.
Amendment 1 would have enabled the legislature to establish
specialty courts separate from the current district and parish courts,
