Owen Modell Robinson of Ruston was born on April 13, 2004, in West Monroe, Louisiana, to parents Jeffery Lane Robinson and Brooke Preaus St. John. Owen went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 7, 2024.

To know him was to love him. His bright smile, his infectious laugh, his love for others, his dry wit, his polite nature, his compassion, his gentle spirit, and his kindness were contagious. Owen had an uncanny ability to connect with others. He was always the hero of his little brother Blake.  Owen loved music, nice clothes, and loud trucks. He was a social butterfly, and he loved being with his friends. As a young child, Owen showed his level of passion that he was known for as he loved basketball, baseball, and Thomas the Tank Engine fiercely. That unmistakable passion stayed with him through high school where he was a member of Cedar Creek’s powerlifting, football, and basketball teams. He was a member of the 2021 Cougar Powerlifting State Champions, the 2022 3rd Place State team, and the 2023 State Runner-Up team. Owen still has the school deadlift record in the 165-lb. weight class of 530 lbs. Owen was a 2023 graduate of Cedar Creek High School and attended Louisiana Tech University.

Owen was a member of Salem Church in Dubach, and he was attending First Baptist Church of Ruston.

Those preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents Modell and Debbie Robinson, and his uncle Andy Robinson.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Jeff and Brooke, his brother Blake, stepmother Laurie Robinson, stepfather Mark St. John, siblings Jacob (Destiny), Laney, Mia, Joshua, and Jack, his maternal grandparents John and Jerry Preaus, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Cedar Creek Powerlifting team, Salem Church Children’s Ministry, or First Baptist Church of Ruston’s College Ministry.
