One cure for high costs

It seems that the costs of living have been increasing
for some time. This phenomenon is not new, and these
increases seem to be a norm within our culture. Year
after year regulations enter our lives. They may be small
subtle changes and occasionally something is implemented
that rocks the way that we live. Then
we stop, take a big breath, look back and ask
how did we get here and how can we get back to
where we were with some semblance of sanity.
Many year ago my wife started a day care,
Childcare was the only thing that she ever
wanted to do and she had an opportunity live
her dream. I was still living overseas as she
crafted the business that would ultimately see
over 750 children come through her care. One
night I saw a segment of one of the news shows
from a major network. The segment showed a
neatly dressed lady from south Louisiana that owned a
day care being interviewed. It was not a positive interview
and put both the daycare business and our state in
a bad light. I told my wife that she could expect changes.
