James Edward “Jimmie” Clements

James Edward “Jimmie” Clements, 70, was born on June 12, 1953 and passed away on June 10, 2024 at his home in Downsville, Louisiana.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, Pastor Tony Smith and Pastor Joseph Stogner officiating.  Interment will take place at Weldon Cemetery in Bernice, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Susie Pate Clements; and his sister, Brenda Pierce.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, JoAnn Clements; children, Clay Opiel, Serena Opiel, Starla Caulkins (Lynn), Chris Clements (Alicia); grandchildren, Kobe Clements, Cohen Clements, Brittany Brazzel, Joshua Opiel, Mitchell Ray, Will Ray, Destiny Norton, Haley Frith, and Hunter Opiel; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gayle Suitor.

Jimmie was a lifelong outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting “nanny doe” deer, fishing, camping, and boating.  He retired from Brammer Engineering after a long career in the oil and gas industry.

Pallbearers will be Monty Walker, Danny Conn, James Laird, Johnny Philips, Royce Lee and Neal Mack.
