Henryetta Shankle

Funeral services for Mrs. Henryetta Shankle, age 79 of Farmerville, LA, was held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Burial followed at Conway Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Henryetta was born in Stephens, AR on January 31, 1944 to the late Clarence and Billie Lewis. She was a homemaker, seamstress, and quiltmaker. She served her Lord by teaching, quilting, and doing missions work in different churches though the years. Since 2005, Mrs. Henryetta served at Frist Baptist Church Farmerville. She loved her quilting group and Sunday School class, Fidelis. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Henryetta loved all of her family and was a precious friend to many.

Mrs. Henryetta was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Billie Williams Lewis.

She is survived by the love of her life, Billy Edward Shankle; they were blessed with 62 ½ wonderful years of marriage; her daughter, Angelia Murphy (Tim) and their three sons, Colton Murphy and wife Brittany and their daughter Alex, John Murphy and wife Nicole, and Will Murphy and wife Taylor and their daughter Maddie; daughter Tamara Smith (Alan) and their family, AJ Smith, Patrick Smith and wife Katie and their children Ruthie and Shepherd, Sarah Holmberg and husband Ian and their daughter Callie, and Ben Smith and wife Eryn Smith and their son Bruin; son Brian Shankle (Erica) and their children, Lexie, Addison, and Landon; brother Jimmy Lewis (Val); sister Rhonda Taylor; and numerous other family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Colton Murphy, John Murphy, Will Murphy, AJ Smith, Patrick Smith, Ben Smith, and Landon Henry.

Visitation was held at 12:30 PM, prior to the service at the church.
