Gordon Rudolph Branning

Gordon Rudolph Branning, 88, was born on April 29, 1936 and passed away on June 17, 2024.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Marion, Louisiana.  Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Marion, with Bro. Bubba Hoggatt and Bro. Terry Cole officiating.  Interment will be held at Liberty Cemetery in Linville, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Farmerville.

Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Ann Branning; parents, William Rudolph and Merlie Pauline Branning; and siblings, Merlie Branning, Judy Branning and Dean Branning.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Brooks Branning (Laura), Brittany Branning, and Logan Branning (Katie Dodson); grandchildren, Scotty, Abigail, Octavia, and Archer; brother, Alton Dee Branning (Judy Lynn); brother-in-law, David Johnstone; sisters-in-law, Betty McVay and Joanne Brantley; and many friends.

Gordon loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion.  He enjoyed crosswords, outdoors, walking and gardening, bird-watching, and country music.
