Oratory competition

Attention Union Parish youth, ages 13-21: Oratory competition on Nov. 11.Show us your public speaking skills…winners will receive $500 (first place), and $250 (second place). Two age divisions: 13-16; 17-21. Judges will be from Louisiana Tech University School of Communications. See complete rules and signup form at www.unionmuseumofhistoryandart.org. This event will be held in conjunction with our inspiring and educational exhibit, “American Visionary: The Life and Times of John F. Kennedy,” an exhibit of 77 historic photographs on loan from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Illinois. The exhibit will be in the Union Museum of History and Art October 10 through Nov. 30.
