District Attorney John Belton announces retirement

At the most recent Union Par-

ish Chamber Luncheon, John

Belton announced that he will be

retiring after 33 years of service.

John Belton was elected District

Attorney for Lincoln and Union

Parishes in 2014 and has made

an anouncement that he will no

longer be running for reelection

into the position.

John Belton has served as a

Vice President and President of

the Louisiana District Attorneys

Association and as a past Vice

President of the National District

Attorneys Association of which

he is also a Board Member.
