Common sense packs bags, quirks abide

Some days I look around and wonder
if I’ve accidentally awakened in a slightly
different version of the world – one where
common sense has packed its bags and
moved to Coushatta.
I’m not talking about big, moral-
decline matters. For example, the
little everyday head-scratchers, the
habits people have picked up that
make you tilt your head like a confused
beagle. Maybe it’s just me.
Maybe I’m turning into that person
who mutters to herself in the grocery
store. Or even worse: one of those
scoundrels we associate with the holidays.
Think: the Grinch … or even Scrooge.
But lately these small mysteries have
been piling up, and I can’t help but ask a few
