Rev. Hank Hamilton
Hello all. Thank you for joining us for last Sunday’s Easter services. Each year we celebrate the promise of salvation on Easter Sunday; the day of Jesus’ resurrection. But… before that glorious day, Jesus left us with very clear instructions for “how to” live our lives until the day we believers join Him in Heaven.
Matthew 22:36-40 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (The Great Commission)
Luke 10:2 “He told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”
John 20:21 “Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
May the peace of Christ Jesus be with you. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

“It is time to seek the Lord.” ~ Hosea 10
“This month of April is said to derive its name from the Latin verb aperio, which signifies to open, because all the buds and blossoms are now opening, and we have arrived at the gates of the flowery year. Reader, if you are yet unsaved, may your heart, in accord with the universal awakening of nature, be opened to receive the Lord. Every blossoming flower warns you that it is time to seek the Lord; be not out of tune with nature, but let your heart bud and bloom with holy desires.
“Do you tell me that the warm blood of youth leaps in your veins? then, I entreat you, give your vigour to the Lord. It was my unspeakable happiness to be called in early youth, and I could fain praise the Lord every day for it. Salvation is priceless, let it come when it may, but oh! an early salvation has a double value in it. Young men and maidens, since you may perish ere you reach your prime, ‘It is time to seek the Lord.’
“Ye who feel the first signs of decay, quicken your pace: that hollow cough, that hectic flush, are warnings which you must not trifle with; with you it is indeed time to seek the Lord. Did I observe a little grey mingled with your once luxurious tresses? Years are stealing on apace, and death is drawing nearer by hasty marches, let each return of spring arouse you to set your house in order. Dear reader, if you are now advanced in life, let me entreat and implore you to delay no longer. There is a day of grace for you now—be thankful for that, but it is a limited season and grows shorter every time that clock ticks.
“ …I speak to you as best I can by paper and ink, and from my inmost soul, as God’s servant, I lay before you this warning, ‘It is time to seek the Lord.’ Slight not that work, it may be your last call from destruction, the final syllable from the lip of grace.”

Mike and the choir brought some beautiful special music this morning, including “He’s Alive” and “I Believe in a Hill Called Mt. Calvary”.
Newness of Life, was Bro. Bubba’s message. If Christ had not risen, then our faith is in vain. But He did!
The resurrection is a proven fact. When we believe and give our heart to Him, we have the Holy Spirit living within us. Our heart is changed. Our life is changed.
1). Death to Life.
Romans.3:10, Ephesians2:1. Adam and Eve sinned, so everyone is born a sinner. All have sinned and need a savior. Jesus came and died on the cross to be that Savior. God came looking for us to be his children. We were not looking for him. A part of us will always live. Those who reject the Savior will die a second death and live in Hell. The saved will live with God in glory for eternity.
2) Darkness to Light.
Ephesians 5: 8. W e were walking in darkness without Christ, now in His light. All our activities are either in darkness or light. Darkness is the ways of the world. Satan blinds, the eyes of those who reject Christ, and they walk more and more in the evil ways of the world. Every person makes a choice.
3) Destruction to Liberty. Matthew 25:34,41.
There are only two choices. when we choose Jesus, we inherit God’s kingdom. We are heirs with Christ. We are changed. we care about others. Jesus cared more for us than He did for himself. That is why he died. He provided everlasting life for all who will accept Him.

Luke 23:32-43: There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death.… One of the criminals, who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”
He did not fear the person of God, desiring to save his soul; he wanted merely to save his life.
Many today have no fear of God. One reason is that sadly, the Holiness of God is no longer preached from the pulpit. God hates sin and punishes sinners. Wickedness is more in America than we have ever seen. There is no fear of God before their eyes. – Romans 3:18. … Do not fear those, who cannot kill the soul, But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell – Matthew 10:28b.
The other criminal on the cross – Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” On that day, a sinner became a saint and was assured eternity with Jesus. This was a ‘raw’ faith. Having just encountered Christ Jesus, he recognized Him as King of Kings and LORD of Heaven! “Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling”.
Which side are you – The ‘Right Side’ or the ‘Wrong Side’? Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation – Ephesian 6:2.
