    Rev. Hank Hamilton
Family & The Circle of Life. Most
of us spent last weekend with family
    (and friends) celebrating our nation’s
    birthday. Likewise, don’t we
    celebrate our children’s birthdays?
While we celebrate them with fun &
games & presents; we also know that
we are their role models and that we
must “teach them. Teach our “baby
birds” how to “fly”… how to survive,
how to take care of themselves in
    this big ole world.
Know who is (can be) their greatest
    teacher – greatest influence? THE
    Teacher… JESUS. The following
song shows how important He is in
our lives through all our “seasons”.
Go listen to this beautiful song. It’s a
good reminder to have Jesus present
in our lives at all times.
Jesus ’Bout My Kids… Luke Bryan
I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
    The same way that my
    mom and daddy did
I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
Now I talk to Jesus ‘bout my kids
When they’re born, you dive right in
Tryin’ like hell to get ‘em born again
Pull out them Bible stories, then
    you stumble your way through
You do your best to steer ‘em straight
Tell ‘em ‘bout who He is and ain’t
    And answer all their questions
even though you’ve got some too
I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
How He lived and died and rose again
I used to talk to my kids about Jesus
Now I talk to Jesus ‘bout my kids
You lose your grip the more they grow
    They won’t listen ‘cause
    they think they know
And you watch ‘em goin’ down a
dead-end road, and you can’t stop ‘em
    Lord, please watch ‘em

    In today’s Bible passage, I
    Thessalonians 4:13-18, we look at
one of the most encouraging and
    informative passages of Scripture
    dealing with eternal life, the
resurrection of the dead, and the
    second coming of Jesus.
Paul is stressing to the Church his
desire for them to know the truth
about what happens when a Christian
dies. He also makes the point that
yes, Christians grieve, but we grieve
    differently.
We have hope due to the promises of
God for believers. Through our tears,
we can celebrate victory, and here is
why: Jesus died for our sins and rose
    from the
    grave, victorious over death.
Our salvation is based solely on
    Jesus’ righteousness and power, not
on our goodness. We put our faith
in what Jesus did for us; He paid the
penalty for our sins with His death
    on the cross.
    Speaking of believers who have
    died, Paul makes two important
points in vs. 14b. Their body is in the
ground, but they are where Jesus is.
They won’t miss his return; in fact,
    their bodies are resurrected first!
What about Christians who are alive
    when Jesus descends from heaven?
We will hear a shout, the voice of an
archangel, and the trumpet of God.
When our King comes, we will know
    it!
We will look up to see Jesus, and in
a moment, those who have died with
Jesus will rise first, then we who are
alive will be caught up together with
them in the clouds. And thus, in our
    new imperishable bodies, will we
    ever be with Jesus!
    Eternal life with Jesus awaits
believers through faith in Him only.
There is no other way. Make no
mistake; Jesus IS coming back. Be
ready. Salvation and eternal life are
    glorious and beautiful gifts. Living
the Christian way is the only true
way to joy in this life, and in eternity.
    Don’t miss out.

    Name – Game or ShameMatthew
5/45We are too imitate our Father
in Heaven. If people did not know
our ancestors, what would they think
of them based on our character?
    There are exceptions, but mostly
    we have characteristics and ways
like our parents. What name are we
establishing by the way we live?
Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount contains
    the beatitudes. These contrast, the
ways the world teaches to the ways
    Jesus teaches.I. Name of Shame.
    Matthew6:43.This verse tells us
that the world teaches to love our
neighbor and hate our enemies. This
is the opposite of Jesus’ teachings.
Jesus says to love our enemies, bless,
and do good to those who hate us.
That way we represent our Father in
heaven. Our character, the way we
live, will be known for generations.
    II. Name of Fame.Matthew.5:44.We
should live by the teachings of Jesus.
Many doctrines in the world today
    are completely opposite of Jesus’
doctrines. We have a chance to shine
the name of Jesus with our
    lives.Name with Game.
    Matthew5:45.Love your enemy,
bless them that curse you and
persecute you . Love that person. Do
what you can to help that person. We
can do this through the love of Jesus.
Some in our world today are being
    persecuted for proclaiming Jesus.
The way we react to any situation,
either honor’s God or Satan. We
don’t want to live our lives in vain.
If we are truly born again., we will
show the character of God in the way
    we live.

    Associate Pastor Stephen Murry
America has its problems, such as
the moral decline. But we are still the
greatest nation in the world. To not
acknowledge that and to not stand
and pledge to the flag of America,
is to dishonor those who fought and
    died for America’s freedom.
Many have a personal day of
Independence, the day we gave our
heart to Christ. We have a life of
freedom. John 8:31-36 – Then Jesus
said to those Jews who believed
Him, “If you abide in My Word, you
are My disciples indeed. And you
shall know the truth, and the truth
    shall make you free.”
    Some lack freedom, because they
are a slave to sin. Jesus answered
them, “Most assuredly, I say to
you, whoever commits sin is a slave
of sin. Many are in bondage to sin
and do not even realize it. They are
surrounded by people, who are lost
without Christ, thinking they are free.
Freedom to sin, makes one a slave to
sin. ‘Sin will take you further than
you want to go; sin will keep you
longer than you want to stay.’
Giving your heart to Christ, will
    free you from sin; Chains broken;
sin’s prison bars open. ‘Free at
last!’ And a slave does not abide in
the house forever, but a son abides
forever. A slave does not have a
    permanent place. On our Personal
    Independence Day, we became a
child of God – Therefore, if the Son
makes you free, you shall be free
indeed. Freedom is found in Jesus
Christ. For “whoever calls on the
Name of the Lord shall be saved.”
    Not His child? Read Matthew 10:32;
    Put your faith in Him.
