Carolyn Ann Gardner Futch

Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn Ann Gardner Futch, age 86 of Spearsville, LA, were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 9, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA with Bro. Alan Miller officiating. Burial followed at Spearsville Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Carolyn graduated from Huttig High School in Arkansas with perfect attendance from grades 1 thru 12. She worked at Monsanto Chemical Co. in El Dorado, was a substitute teacher in Union Parish, worked at the Medical Center of South Arkansas for over 20 years, and upon her retirement, she took care of her husband, Frankie Futch.

Mrs. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frankie Futch; and her parents, Felston and Lorene McClendon Gardner.

She is survived by her daughters, Carla F. Deason (Russell) and Shari Futch; three grandchildren, Lynsay Lee, Dillon Pilgreen (Nikki), and Shelby Smith (Zach); seven great grandchildren, Landon Lee, Felyx Calloway, Logan Lee, Cohen Pilgreen, Kylin Pilgreen, Thatcher Smith, and Fletcher Smith; and one sister, Joan Perdue.

Serving as pallbearers were Ken Perdue, Marty Perdue, Eddie Albritton, Shannon Futch, Brian Scarborough, Joe Barron, and Stanley Lenard.

Visitation was held at 1:00 PM prior to the service, Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA.
