Audine Omie Yates

Funeral services for Mrs. Audine Omie Yates, age 93 of Farmerville, LA, was held at 2:00 PM< Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Wayne Whiteside officiated. Burial will follow at Kilpatrick Serentiy Gardens in West Monroe, LA, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dean was a founding member of Crestview Baptist Church. She was an avid nursery worker as well as a member of the church. Mrs. Dean was a professional seamstress for over 40 years. She designed wedding gowns, Mardi Gras costumes, prom gowns, homecoming dresses, cheer outfits, and drill outfits for the local parishes including Ouachita, Lincoln, Richland, and N.L.U. Mrs. Dean was loved by everyone who met her and she genuinely loved people.

Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Eugene Yates; husband of 14 years, William Morris Puckett; parents, Elijah M. and Dena Mize Frith; son, Roger Darrel Yates; daughter in law, Virginia Yates; three brothers, Lois, Ormal, and Johnny Frith; sister, Bivian Yates; four grandchildren, Lance Yates, Terry Eugene Yates, Joseph Todd Yates, and Teresa Yates; and one step daughter, Tammy Posey Tomblin.

She is survived by her sons, Eugene Devon Yates (Karyn) and George Mitchell Yates (Rhonda); five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and two step daughters, Kathy Bass and Pattie Nolan.

Visitation was held at 1:00 PM prior to the service, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home.
