A tough pill to swallow

A child will get sick; that is given. It’s part of the
child’s rite of passage. The child will play and play hard,
oblivious to the illness that is overtaking the strength
and vitality of the young human. Eventually the child’s
illness will progress to a point that it must be given medicine
and if no medicine is dispensed, the child
will become sicker, weaker, unable to function
and perhaps even worse. Unfortunately, the
medicine is sometime a tough pill to swallow;
however, it is needed and eventually the sick
will recover and in some instances be healthier
than before the illness ensued,
