11-1-2026 was All Saints Day and in our young Kid’s Sunday School Class we discussed the need to give honor and respect to those loved ones and friends that have passed away. “Gone, but Not Forgotten”. Our subject for that classroom last Sunday was “Giving”.

The Bible tells us to Give… praise, help and love… and to give freely without expectations of repayment. Three simple ways children see Giving examples/role models without realizing that they too are a God given blessing are; Halloween, Christmas and Easter. When you ask them to stop – “Be Still” – and see the blessings of God in the generosity of others to them on these days, it brings everyday life into focus for them. Brings to them the acknowledgement that God IS with us all day – every day, providing – Giving..

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25

King David prayed: “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your hand.” 1 Chronicles 29:14

1 Chronicles 29:1-20 Records King David’s call for voluntary offerings to build the Temple, the generous response of Israel’s leaders and people, and David’s prayer of gratitude and humility before God. Key Takeaways – Bible Gateway

Willing, generous giving — The offerings were not forced; they were voluntary and wholehearted

God’s sovereignty — David emphasizes that all resources come from God, and the Temple is for Him alone

Humility and gratitude — David’s prayer reflects humility, thanksgiving, and recognition of God’s greatness

Giving also applies to Tithing For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11

Paul’s Parting Words: Unity in Christ

In 2 Corinthians 13:11-14, Paul closes his letter to the Corinthian church with a heartfelt appeal for unity, peace, and shared purpose. Addressing their past divisions with a pastor’s heart, Paul urged believers to be like-minded and stand as equals in Christ.

In Paul’s day, a holy kiss was a display of acceptance, equality, and mutual respect. It reminds us that in the Lord’s church, worldly status, wealth, education, and social standing fall away—leaders serve humbly as bond-slaves, and all believers stand unified as one in Christ.

Paul grounds this unity in the reality of the Triune God: the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Mist of us have seen the acrostic for G.R.A.C.E.— ”God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense”. Salvation was purchased by Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb of God, born out of the Father’s immense love, and applied to our hearts through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.

Salvation cannot be achieved simply by baptism or having your name listed on a church roll. You become a genuine part of the Body of Christ only when you are born again and your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Have you recognized your helpless state, turned from sin, and called upon Jesus to save you? If not, let today be your day of salvation!

Romans 8: There is no way we can truly understand GOD. The Bible says HE is 3 in 1 – Father, Son, Holy Spirit; all three had a part in Creation. They talk within themselves about us. HE makes intercession for the saints according to the Will of God. We are always on His mind.

As sons of God … you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Our righteousness is as filthy rags – Isaiah 64:6. We are His children, not because of anything we could have done, but because of what HE did at Calvary. Our part is to receive His saving grace. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Once we give ourself to Him, nothing can separate us from GOD.

As Christians, we pray to the Father, by the Holy Spirit, as Jesus makes intercession for us. It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. And as we pray, it should not only for ourselves; we should pray for others as well. Christ, our example, prayed for Simon Peter, as Christ was awaiting His capture – And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” (Luke 21:31,32) No, as Christians, we are never alone. For GOD – Father, Son, Holy Spirit, are always here!
