FARMERVILLE – The Town of Farmerville is seeking construction bids for the Lake D’Arbonne Mega Ramp, moving the long-discussed project into the competitive bidding stage.
Bids are scheduled to be publicly opened at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Farmerville Town Hall, 1024 Sterlington Highway. Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc., the project’s engineer, lists the project as actively advertised and gives an estimated construction cost starting at $6 million. That figure is an estimate; the actual price will depend on bids received and the work ultimately awarded.
State funding records identify $4.185 million in capital-outlay appropriations for planning and construction of the mega ramp. The amount includes $2 million in Priority 1 general obligation bond funding and $2.185 million in Priority 5 funding.
The state’s annotated capital-outlay document records a cash line of credit for the $2 million portion dated Sept. 17, 2026, and a noncash line of credit for the remaining $2.185 million dated July 16, 2026. The full appropriation
