Revelation 22:12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.” Revelation 21:6 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Jesus was there at the beginning of all creation and He will be here when this earthly creation passes away. We are reminded with the following passages that we, like our planet and all earthly things, are “temporary” and that Jesus is forever. Psalm 144:4 “Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow,” reinforcing the fleeting nature of existence.” James 4:14 “Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”

The Bible consistently presents Jesus as eternally existent, not beginning His existence at His human birth, but affirm that Jesus existed before creation, highlighting His divine nature, authority, and preeminent role in God’s eternal plan. John 1:1-3, 17:5

John 8:58 records Jesus saying, “Before Abraham was born, I am,” indicating His existence long before Abraham and His identification with the eternal God

Colossians 1:15-17 describes Jesus as “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation… He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together”. Hebrews 1:2- 3 portrays Christ as the one through whom God made the universe and who “sustains all things by His powerful word,” reinforcing His eternal pre-existence and divine authority

Knowing that the all-powerful Jesus WAS, IS and WILL BE should help us look forward to our “unknown” day. By the grace of God and His Son, Jesus, may we all reach heaven’s gate… and be asked to “come on in” to be with our Creator forever and forever. Amen.

Sunday, October 4, was a day set apart at our church to honor and glorify God for His call to the ministry of a special young man, Bro. James David Miller.

Bro. James David delivered a powerful sermon Sunday morning based on Hebrews 13:7-8, “Remember your leaders who have spoken God’s word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (CSB)

That evening, hundreds of friends and family members gathered together in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church Farmerville to witness the Ordination Service of Bro. James David. His father, Dr. Alan Miller, gave a moving message, and former coaches and mentors Bro. Timothy Mosher and Drew Vidrine led the Charge to the Candidate and Ordination Prayer. FBC Pastor Kurt Auger led the Charge to the Church, followed by the Laying On of Hands by the ordained men present.

At the conclusion of the service, Dr. and Mrs. Alan Miller presented a special Ordination Bible, inscribed by James David’s mother, to their son. A joyous reception followed in the Fellowship Hall.

Join us every Sunday morning for worship at 11 AM, 400 No. Main, Farmerville. Or visit us via our Facebook page, FBC Farmerville, or on Roku. Pastor Bro. Kurt Auger; Associate Pastor Bro. James David Miller; Choir Director Bro. Ronnie Parks.

The Gospel is now open to the Gentiles > Acts 10: 34- 43 – The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—HE is Lord of all. Jesus, ‘God Saves’, sinless man joining sinless God; as Christ, HE wants preeminence in our life; as LORD, HE should be LORD of All our life!

For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living – Romans 14:9. As Savior and LORD, whatever HE calls us to, we should obey! It is time for us to give up being the controller, allowing Him to control our life; no longer seeking man’s approval, but God’s!

Christ Jesus should be LORD of our calendar, our clock, and yes, even our checkbook! We own nothing; God owns everything; it all came from Him! Let us be good stewards of everything! Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on Earth… but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also – Matthew 6:19-21.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in Heaven, and of those on Earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord … – Philippians 2:10- 11. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account – Hebrews 4:13. Where do you stand with Christ Jesus? Is HE your LORD?
