Freedom of the Press is a Right not a Privalige

America is a blessed nation. When we look at Devine intervention that changed the course of some historical event in the history of our relatively young country to a point that America was victorious and went on to spread the word of freedom and liberty. We have to realize that a greater power has looked over us. This is no more apparent than the drafting of the amazing document that has guaranteed our liberties from our humble beginnings, The Constitution of the United States of America and it’s amendments took amazing energy and insight to ink and bring to the light of day. One of these amendments, the First Amendment, guarantees freedoms for citizens of our noble nation. The drafting of this document was nothing short of an amazing accomplishment. 

The First Amendment protects five core freedoms—religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition—ensuring Americans can think, speak, and act without government interference. It prevents the government from establishing a religion, restricting expression, censoring the press, or punishing peaceful public gatherings and criticism. These protections are vital because they allow citizens to challenge authority, share ideas, expose wrongdoing, and participate fully in democracy. Without the First Amendment, government power could grow unchecked, public debate would weaken, and individual liberty would be at risk.
