The value of not giving up

Last week we witnessed a very unique athletic event that provided assurance that perseverance and not giving up can eventually lead to victory. The event I am referring to was not a complete human endeavor but a partnership between a human equine event. A horse was allowed to enter the Kentucky Derby race; one of the top three horse races in the United States. On the back sat a female jockey and the horse was ranked last in the group of racers. Though the horse started slow and was at the end of the group, he slowly worked himself forward and sprinted to the end and ultimately stunned the world as it won the race by a head. How inspirational and proves that we should all look inward when we begin a part of our life’s journey, understand that there will be speed bumps and prepare not to give up.
