PEACEMAKING AND PEACEKEEPING IN TODAY’S WORLD – A BIBLICAL RESPONSE 

The world is in a big dilemma and we continue to ask what can be done to bring peace to a polarized world. In America we have liberals vs conservatives while in Nigeria it is Islam vs Christianity and in the Mid-East it is Iran vs the West. The dislike and even hatred is deep and we wring our hands in distress while trying to figure out how to bring and maintain peace to a world that is determined to destroy its fellow man. 

When all else fails we tend to turn to religion. This is comforting and provides a path to follow to relieve the stress we feel. For the majority of us in the deep south it is Christianity that we follow and it is the Bible that provides the written instruction so lets investigate what this holy book tells us about peace.
