How thoughtful compliments travel far 

Well, I missed National Compliment Day. It was Jan. 24. 

And it’s too early for World Compliment Day. That one is March 1. 

Or wait … IS it too early? 

Methinks not. Methinks this week is almost the midpoint between those dates, and it’s the perfect time to hand out kudos that will brighten someone’s world. 

I often recall a compliment I received way back in the fall of 1971, when I was interning at another local paper. Can you believe I still carry that one around with me?
