From car chase to firearm bust 

 PURSUIT ENDS WITH K9 ASSISTED ARREST AND DISCOVERY OF FIREARM 

On February 5, 2026, at approximately 930 PM, deputies with the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle within the city limits of Farmerville. The driver failed to stop and fled, leading deputies on a pursuit through Union Parish and into the Marion area. 

During the pursuit, the vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed and committed multiple traffic violations. Deputies also observed items being thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit. The vehicle eventually stopped at a residence in Marion, where the driver fled on foot into the home. A K9 unit was deployed, and the suspect was apprehended inside the residence with the assistance of the K9.
