Relish our Heritage 

Our country has become more polarized than at any time since the onset of our tragic and bloody civil war. Americans are killing Americans for political ideology; killings that are never justified. It is so important that we stand back and realize that we have a nation of laws and these laws are based on Federal and State constitutions and social norms Take a moment to reflect on just how lucky we are to live in this great nation. Take a moment to understand our heritage. There are aspects of the past that are not desirable but there are so many other facets of our nation, our state and our local environments that we should be so very proud of what has been accomplished on the backs of those that desired to live in nation where we can pursue our dreams. 

Let us take a few minutes to reflect on our own parish and let us relish our heritage.
