On Friday, October 21st, the Daughters
of the American Revolution held their an-
nual Fish Fry and Bench Dedication at the
Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home. The
Northeast District chapters – Bruin-Vidal,
Chief Tusquahoma, D’Arbonne, Fort Miro,
and Oakley – were all represented. During
the event, four benches were presented
to the Veterans Home, each made from
1,000 pounds of recycled soft plastic. The
Daughters of the American Revolution is a
non-profit, volunteer organization dedicat-
ed to promoting historic preservation, edu-
cation, and patriotism. To learn more or to
