Farmerville, LA – On Saturday, January 11, Union Parish 4-H hosted its annual Union Youth Livestock Show, showcasing the hard work and dedication of local 4-H’ers. The event, held at the Union Parish Fairgrounds, featured a variety of livestock projects, including beef cattle, market and commercial sheep, goats, and hogs.
The Union Youth Livestock program, a part of Union Parish 4-H, provides young people with hands-on learning experiences that teach leadership, citizenship, and responsibility. Participants in the program learn valuable life skills through their involvement in livestock projects, gaining knowledge and experience in animal care and management.
The Livestock Show was a day filled with excitement and competition as 4-H’ers proudly presented their animals to judges. The event not only highlighted the hard work of the participants but also brought the community together to support and celebrate the achievements of its young members.
The Union Parish 4-H Livestock Show is just one of many events organized by the Union Parish 4-H program, which aims to provide youth with opportunities to develop their potential and contribute to their communities.
