NOTICE FROM THE UPSO

During the weekend of August 23, 2024, the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint inside the boundaries of Union Parish, Louisiana. This checkpoint will not be limited to the parish only and may be conducted within a city or village limits as long as it is within the parish. The purpose of this checkpoint is to deter intoxicated operation of motor vehicles and take necessary action with drivers that may be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence within the parish if detecte

The sheriff’s office will also conduct sobriety patrol operations from August 16, 2024, until September 2, 2024, at midnight. Funding for this is provided by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and zero tolerance will be taken on impaired drivers.
