Bike Fest 2024

May 18 @ 10:00 am

We are thrilled that cyclist and bike shop repair owner Steve Birmingham will be with us for a very hands-on Bikefest 2024 to celebrate National Bike Month!

Bring your bike. If it isn’t fixed, we will try to fix it. If it is fixed, you will learn the basics of caring for a bike! A: Air (inflating the tires to the proper level. B: Brakes (we adjust the brakes so they will work well.) C: Chains (We tension the chain correcting and tighten the fasteners. This will be a hands-on experience where students will participate to find the correct PSI (airpressure) for their bike, use a battery operated inflator, watch the air gauge pressure, and learn basic bike maintenance for safety.

Girl Scouts who attend will receive a Bike Safety GS patch.

We will be drawing for two FREE “my first bikes” 16′ with training wheels and a basket for ages 4-7. The 16” children training bicycle is equipped with height-adjustable handlebar(28”-30.5”) and saddle(21.5”-25.5”) to meet your kids’ needs, and allows your little ones to ride with the most comfortable position. It is equipped with a dual brake system( including hand brake and coaster brake) and fully enclosed chain guard for high safety. The anti-slip pedals and wear-resistant tires enable kids to ride on various flat roads. Additionally, 2 training wheels add more stability.
