38lbs marijuana seized, stop on I-20

The driver, Malcolm Hampton, 30,
of Louisiana, was arrested and booked
into the Van Zandt County Detention
Center for possession of marijuana.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas —
Thirty-eight pounds of marijuana was
seized during a traffic stop on Interstate
20 on Friday.
According to the Van Zandt County
Sheriff’s Office, a deputy found the
marijuana while searching a 2024 black
GMC pickup truck during the stop. The
driver, Malcolm Hampton, 30, of Louisiana,
was arrested and booked into the
Van Zandt County Detention Center for
possession of marijuana.
