Kirsty Belle Craig of Haile and Stephen Doyle Summerhill of Linville wed on July 26, 2014 at 6:45 p.m. in a paradise beach wedding in Gulf Shores, AL.
The bride is the daughter of Monica and Mitch Craig of Linville. The groom is the son of Denise Summerhill and the late Eddie Summerhill of Linville. The officiating minister was Robert Bullock.
After walking down a burlap aisle lined with large lanterns, the couple exchanged vows beneath a bamboo arbor with white linen and a crystal chandelier. They exchanged rings and observed a unity sand ceremony with the sound of the waves in the background. Presiding a guest registry was Isabella Fulton and the bride was given away in marriage by her father, Mitch Craig.
Kirsty wore an a-line lace silhouette gown with a side split and tulle inset. It featured a strapless bodice adorned with lace and pearl beading. The corset back added allure, along with a chapel train. The bride wore an updo with a pearl covered headpiece. The bouquet was lilies and roses with purple trim and a charm of the late Eddie Summerhill. The matron of honor was the brides sister, Stephanie Bevins. Her dress was a deep purple v-neck, and came to knee length. The flower girls were Allie Harrell and Skylar Medlin. They wore white tulle dresses with purple tops and trim and carried white baskets with starfish and seashells.
The best man was Steven Medlin. The groom, best man, and ring bearers wore khakis and purple button up shirts. The grooms boutonniere was adorned with his fathers wedding ring. The ring bearers were Kannon and Kase Summerhill, nephews of the groom. One carried a ring pillow while the other held a sign saying “Uncle Stephen here comes your girl.”
The wedding ended near sunset and the reception followed at the condo of Marcia and Gary Harrell, the brides aunt and uncle. After spending a few days in Gulf Shores the couple returned to their home in Spencer. Stephen is employed with Central Pump of Monroe and Kirsty is a full-time nursing student at ULM.
