Katie Robin Elkins, of Jackson, Mississippi, and Charles Andrew Weeks, of Jonesboro, Louisiana exchanged vows on June 12, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Horton Lake Plantation in Downsville, Louisiana.

Katieís parents are Mr. and Mrs. Steve Elkins or Spearsville, Louisiana. Andrewís parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn Weeks, Jr., of Jonesboro, Louisiana.

Officiating the ceremony was Bro. Marty Black. The nuptial music was performed by soloist Justin Bennett and organist Don Traina. BreAnn Chrisman, the brides cousin, presided over the guest registry. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Elkins and escorted by her father, Steve Elkins.

The bride wore a gown of ivory chiffon with beaded starburst details by Bari-Jay Design with a matching bird cage veil. She carried a bouquet of hot pink, pale pink and jade green roses.

Stefanie Elkins Breaux, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. Elizabeth Picard Bennett, Mrs. Mariclaire Ingram Putman, Mrs. Emily Morrow Feathers, Dr. Erica Hutchison, Mrs. Carley Wynne Garner, Mrs. Natalee Allen Menge, Mrs. Rebecca Neal Williams and Mrs. Laura Terzia Bankston. The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore black tea length dresses of their choice from the J. Crew Bridal Collection.

Paul Weeks, brother of the groom, served as best man. Serving as groomsmen were Stephen Weeks, brother of the groom; Grayson Allen, cousin of the groom; Adam Balthrop and Gregory Dupoy.

Noah and Lillian Weeks, nephew and niece of the groom, also served as members of the wedding party. Christi Freeman served as the wedding coordinator. The reception was catered by Thurmanís Food Factory of Monroe. Photography was by Aimee Howell Photography of Ruston. An outdoor reception was held immediately following the ceremony on the grounds of Horton Lake Plantation. After a wedding trip to Orange Beach, Alabama, the couple will be at home in Jackson, Mississippi.

The brideís grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Elkins of Spearsville, Louisiana and Mrs. Glaston Henley of El Dorado, Arkansas and the late Glaston Henley.

Katie is a graduate of Cedar Creek school in Ruston, Louisiana. Katie received her bachelors degree from Mississippi College, a masterís degree from Louisiana Tech, and is pursuing a doctorate degree from the University of Mississippi Medical School where she is employed as a Speech Language Pathologist.

The groomís grandparents are Mrs. Bonnie Peel of Ruston, Louisiana and the late Mr. Harold Allen, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn Weeks, Sr.

Andrew is a graduate of the Louisiana School for Math, Science and Arts. He received his bachelorís degree from Boston College. He is currently pursuing a masterís degree in engineering at Georgia Tech.
