|Ormond, Cummings wed Feb. 21|
Alistine Elizabeth Ormond and Brandon Joseph Cummings were married February 21, 2008 at Graceminister Presbyterian Church in Monroe with Rev. Joe Sheeler and Rev. Joe Hill officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tommy and Evalyn Ormond of Sterlington. She is the granddaughter of Eva Yeats and the late Oscar O. Yeats of Monroe, Bill and Nancie Ormond and the late Mary Grace Ormond of Sterlington. The groom is the son of Tim and Charlene Cummings of West Monroe. He is the grandson of George Wayne and Sylvia Cummings McDanell and the late Joe Cummings of West Monroe, Fannie Mae Ates and the late Charles Edward Ates of Bernice.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a stunning ivory strapless gown with a fitted bodice, laced back and flared skirt with a cathedral length train. Her chapel length veil was accented with a pearl and crystal tara. She carried a European hand-tied bouquet filled with a mixture of white calla lilies, gerber daises, carnations and snapdragons. The bride wore a pearl necklace that was given to her sister on her 16th birthday by their grandmother, which was embellished with an antique broche borrowed from a family friend.
The attendants wore full length royal blue chiffon strapless empire gowns with pearl necklaces and earrings given to them by the bride. Matron of Honor was Nikki Taylor, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Pruitt, Haley Harris, Mandy Bond, Aston Thompson and Whitney Cain, all friends of the bride.
The groom’s party wore single breasted black tuxedos with royal blue vests. The Best man was Jason Bond, best fried of the groom. Groomsmen were Clinton Coon, Johnathon Crenshaw, Daniel Delancy, Blake Eppinette, and Cody Blakeny all friends of the Groom. Ushers were Lee Taylor, brother-in-law of the bride, Jake and John Ormond, cousins of the bride and Jamie Shirley, cousin of the groom.
Flower girl was Maddie Grace Taylor, niece of the bride, and she wore an ivory tea length gown accented by a circular ribbon hairpiece. Ring bearer was Kyle Hunter Shirley “greatest little cousin of the groom” and he wore a black tuxedo with a royal blue vest.
Soloist, Lovis Ettore, Bride’s aunt, sang the “Lord’s Prayer” and was accompanied by Marsha Cummings, Groom’s Aunt.
Hosted by family and friends, a reception was held in the fellowship hall at Graceminister Presbyterian Church.
The bride is a graduate of Sterlington High School and is currently pursuing a nursing career. The groom is a graduate of West Ouachita High School and is employed by Eagle Precision Products.
The couple will reside in West Monroe.
