|Auger, Keys wed Sept. 6|
Magen Rene’ Auger and James Cody Keys exchanged marriage vows in a double-ring ceremony at six o’clock in the evening on Sept. 6 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville. The Rev. Jim Ingram, of Bastrop, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Kurt Auger of Farmerville. She is the granddaughter of Mr.. and Mrs. Jimmy Long of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Bettye Auger of Truxno, and Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Auger of Marion.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Keys of Calhoun. He is the grandson of Mrs. Loraine Otwell of West Monroe and the late Mr. John Otwell, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Keys of Rayville.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Her bridal gown was made of natural dupioni silk. It was a strapless gown accented with asymmetrical, crossover draping and a flare skirt with chapel length train. The veil was a double tiered, finger tip length silk illusion edged with ivory satin. She carried a hand tied bouquet of Calla Lilies.
Britni Hamby served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kellye Ketchum, the bride’s aunt, Tiffany Horton, the groom’s sister, and Kristy Auger, the bride’s aunt. Taylor Horton and Mackenzie Horton, the groom’s nieces, were flower girls.
Each bridesmaid wore a two piece gown of iridescent taffeta. Two wore cabernet taffeta ruched halters while two wore peony taffeta strapless tops with cabernet sashes and chiffon shrugs. Their cabernet floor length skirts were A-lined. They carried hand tied bouquets of pink and wine mixed fresh flowers
Steven Kadar served as best man. Groomsmen were Jake Auger, the bride’s brother, David Granger, and Jonathan Walters. Brooks Auger, the bride’s brother, was the ring bearer.
Instrumental music was provided by Allison Granger.
A wedding reception was held for family and friends in the church family life center.
The wedding and reception were coordinated by Ruth Mixon and staff, of Merle Norman’s in Farmerville.
Hair and make-up by James McCready and Holly Butler of Rain the Salon in Monroe.

Magen is a graduate of Sterlington High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is employed by Saint Francis North Hospital as an RN in the PICU.
Cody is a graduate of West Ouachita High School. He is currently attending New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he is studying Christian Ministry. He is employed by First Baptist Church of Bastrop as the youth minister.
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple will reside in Collinston.
The couple would like to thank all of the family and friends for the wonderful luncheons and showers hosted in their honor.
