Tiffany Lynn Barnes and John Scott Dews were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on July 15 at West Side Baptist Church in El Dorado. Matthew Pace officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Cathy Barnes of Spearsville. She is the granddaughter of Elaine Barnes of West Monroe, La., Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barnes of Swartz, La., and Ronald Foster of Spearsville and Beverly Foster. The groom is the son of John and Beverly Dews of El Dorado. He is the grandson of H.E. Blake and Joan Blake, both of El Dorado, and Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Dews, Sr. of Spearsville.

Nuptial music was provided by Lauren Lundy, who sang “Please Remember,” and Tim Blake, who sang “Find Your Wings” and “You Raise Me Up.” The two sang the duet “When God Made You.” Timothy Blake, cousin of the groom, provided the scripture reading from 1 Corinthians 13. The couple wrote the vows they recited at the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Allure diamond white satin gown.

Her strapless mermaid silhouette gown featured a ruched bodice embellished with Swarovski crystals cascading down the center from the sweetheart neckline. Swarovski crystals accented the waistline while continuing around the back and intricately placed on the chapel length train. She wore a chapel length veil, and carried an all white bouquet featuring roses and calla lilies accented with pearls and tied with white satin ribbon.

Sarah Silmon, the bride’s cousin, served as maid of honor. Allison Avra, Natalie Forte, Heather Gilmore, Cara Halbrook, Whitney Herron, Apri Parker, Carrie Stephenson, Melia Tate and Ashley Watson served as bridesmaids.
The bridesmaids wore tea length dresses of teal chiffon. The halter dresses were accented with a teal satin sash encircled at the waist and tied in the back with a crystal brooch. The bridesmaids each carried a bouquet of white roses tied with teal satin ribbon.

John dews served his son as best man. Chad Barnes, brother of the bride, Clint Blake, cousin of the groom, Chris Elia, J.J. Gladden, Trey Harp, Tommy Inebnit, Chris Jaquez, Paul Nichols and Ben Sinclair served as groomsmen. Ushers were Josh Bundy, Shane Dews, cousin of the groom, and Troy Smith. Elizabeth and Taylor Harris served as flower girls, and Caleb and Shawn Barnes served as ring bearers. Jennifer Irons and Jennifer Lynn served as the bride’s book attendants, and Rachel Blake, Bethany Machen, Brittany Machen and Lauren Yocum served as hostesses.

A reception followed at the El Dorado Golf and County Club. Denise Taylor served the bride’s six-tiered, square cake with white butter cream icing and topped with a bouquet of sugar paste white roses. Debbie Griffin made and served the three groom’s cakes-red velvet, German chocolate and Italian crËme. Guests were also treated to a chocolate fountain. Caroline Blake, Laura Blake, Noah Blake, Timothy Blake, Macey Henderson and Marissa Henderson distributed sparklers and bags of teal and white personalized M&M’s to the guests. Lis Fox was the wedding designer and Sandy Silmon was the wedding coordinator.

After a week-long honeymoon in the French Polynesian Islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora, the couple will reside in Bryant. The groom is employed with Metropolitan National Bank in Little Rock, and the bride is a recent graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a Masters Degree in occupational therapy.
