Harris, Salvagio wed June 21

Emilie Elizabeth Harris and Roy Raymond Salvagio, Jr. were married in an outside ceremony at the French-Inspired Green Pastures Restaurant in Austin, Texas on the evening of June 21.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Harris of Lafayette.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Raymond Salvagio, Sr. of Shreveport.
The bride graduated from Lafayette High School and LSU School of Mass Communication.  She is employed at Lois Paul and Partners in Austin as a public relations manager.  The groom graduated from the University of Texas and LSU School of Law.  He is a patent attorney for the Toler Law Group in Austin.
“The Grove” at Green Pastures was decorated with large white Japanese lanterns.  The bride wore a stunning ivory lace grown by LaSposa.  It was embellished with beads over the entire dress.  A cathedral train and fingertip veil completed the outfit.  The bridesmaids wore black strapless dresses with a yellow scarf to celebrate the beginning of summer.
Attending the bride were maids of honor Guy Bell and Brooke Thomas from Austin.  Bridesmaides were Jennifer Lazare and Angela Rouege from Austin and Kim Hardy from Lafayette.  Honor attendants werer Diane Harris, sister-in-law of the bride, from Lafayette and Annie Salvagio, sister of the groom, from Shreveport.  Flower girls were Jenny, Megan, and Emily Cox and Gracie Rankin, all nieces of the groom.
Serving the groom was best man Ed Sarrat from Austin, and groomsmen Christian Llull, Will Rouege, Ray Hanson, and Joe Spadaro.
Ashley Harris, brother of the bride, was the usher.  Cooper Harris, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Ceremony readings were provided by Milissa Thibodeaux of Austin and Melissa Taylor from Lafayette.
Grandparents of the bride are Pearl and Caldwell Harris of Farmerville and Madge Burns and the late Taft Burns of Bernice.
Grandparents of the groom were the late Malvin and Edna Liggin of Bernice and the late Philip and Veda Salvagio of New Orleans.
Guy Wesley Cagle of Houston (formerly of Bernice) officiated at the wedding.
After the ceremony, guests celebrated with the happy couple with food and dancing inside the reception hall of Green Pastures.
Following a honeymoon to Bora Bora, the couple are residing in Austin.
