|Joyner, Bruce Marry April 28|
Wendy Carolyn Joyner of Collinsville, Ms. and Lance Wayne Bruce of Downsville exchanged vows April 28 in a 2 p.m. double ring ceremony at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Tartt of Bailey, Miss.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Joyner of Collinsville, Ms. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Bruce of Downsville.
Rev. Woodrow Reeder, Jr. officiated. The wedding was outdoors down by the pond. The couple married under an arbor of spring flowers and greenery which was in memory of the couples loved ones who are no longer with us. The isle was lined with kissing balls covered in white daisies hanging from iron shepherd hooks. Nuptial music was performed by Mrs. Maureen Sellers, pianist and James Robert Skeen, Jr., soloist.
Presiding at guest registry was Miss Bonnie Tartt.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, James Ramsey. She wore a white satin gown with a azalea colored sash that trailed the length of the gown with a simple white veil trimmed in azalea. She carried a bouquet of spring flowers including stargazer lilies and white roses.
Connie Ramsey served as Matron of Honor and wore a floor length azalea colored dress and carried a single gerber daisy. Jennifer Heggie and Megan Reeder served as bridesmaids. The flower girl was Anna Grace Ramsey. Anna wore a simple satin sleeveless gown with tulle overly on the skirt and an azalea sash to match the bride. She wore a halo of baby’s breath in her hair.
Rollin Alford served as best man, while James Robert Skeen, Jr. and Brandon Reeder were groomsmen.
James Ramsey and Kenneth Hicks served as ushers.
The reception followed in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Tartt by the pool.
Courtesies assistance were as follows: Carol Moore, Cindy Montgomery, Brittney Westbrook, Amanda Williams, Hollie Moffalt and Jennifer Massey.
After a wedding trip to The Sandals Resort in St. Lucia the couple will make their home in Downsville.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ulma Johnson, the late Mrs. Gracie Joyner and the late Mr. Harvey Joyner.
The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lewis, Mr. Otis Bruce and the late Mrs. Eudora Bruce.
The bride is a graduate of Mississippi College with a BS in Biology and a graduate of MCC with an associate degree in nursing. She is employed PRN as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis North E.R. and Northern Louisiana Med Center E.R.
The groom has a BS in agribusiness from ULM and employed as an Ag Lender for Ouachita Independent Bank.
