|Eiland, Koonce marry|
Albertina Brantley Eiland and Christopher A. Koonce, both of Monroe were joined in holy matrimony on Jan. 6, 2007, on the beach in Trelawney, Jamaica in a 10 a.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Williams James Brantley, Monticello, La. The groom is the son of Margaret M. Koonce and the late Walter Meirs Koonce of Greenville, Miss.
Rev. Deryck Bennett officiated the ceremony with a champagne reception followed at the Starfish Trelawney Resort in Jamaica.
The following immediate family accompanied the bride and groom to Jamaica for the wedding and a family vacation: Victoria Bryan, daughter of the bride, Amelia and Christopher Generalis of Houston, Tx, sister of the groom, Jake Generalis, nephew of the groom and Margaret Koonce, mother of the groom.
The couple will make their home in Monroe, La.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Brantley of Marion and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wolff of Transylvania, La. She is currently an honor student in the School of Nursing program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Allen Meador of Cleveland, Miss. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hubert Koonce, Sr. of Grenada, Miss. He received his BS in Business Administration from Delta State University, Cleveland, Miss. and is employed as Account Manager for Lyons Specialty of Baton Rouge, La.
