David Wayne “B-Baby” Bevans (08-29-2013)
A memorial service for David Wayne “B-Baby” Bevans, 72, of Farmerville was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Grantham officiating. Burial followed in Zion Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr. Bevans, a retired mechanical instructor at North Central Area Technical School for 32 years, died August 19, 2013. He was a member of Franklin Street Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Farmerville Fire Department for 30 years, the Farmerville Police Department Auxiliary, and a member of the Civil Defense. He enjoyed leather craft and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burma Waye Bevans & Nellie Parks Megison & Millard Filmore Megison; 1 brother, Stephen Douglas Megison.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Diane “Dee” Bevans of Farmerville; 2 daughters: Connie Bevans Bearden & husband, Kerry of Farmerville and Wendie Bevans Register & fiancee’ Thomas Chevallier, Jr. of Greenwood, LA; 3 sisters: Linda Sue Doherty of Irving, TX, Barbara Bevans Griffin of Vidor, TX and Beverly Bevans Parks & husband, John Bob of West Monroe; 6 grandchildren: Ashley Elizabeth Davidson and husband, Jody, Emily Kane Bearden, Logan DeeAnn Self, Nocona Bevans Self, Bevans Trace Bearden, and Rachel MaKenna Russell; and many friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Lee Royce Alford, Mickey Denton, Keith Kenly, and Richard McCracken.
Visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 22 at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
