Johnnie Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Brown, 83, of Farmerville were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at Meridian Baptist Church with Bro. Glyn Nale & Bro. Robbie Lawson officiating. Interment followed in Beulah Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mrs. Brown, a homemaker, passed away February 28, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a friend to anyone she met. Everyone knew her as “Miss Johnnie”.
Mom loved life! She loved watching Wheel of Fortune with Dad. She loved chocolate, solitaire, reading books and working crossword puzzles. She always sent birthday & anniversary cards out to her family and never missed one! She loved the color red. Red birds, red roses, nail polish and lipstick. She always wore her hair long because that’s the way Dad liked it.
She loved “Mr. Bill”. They were married 62 years. Together they raised 6 children, 2 granddaughters and a couple of boys that came to spend the weekend, who ended up staying a few years! She loved animals, and passed that love on to her children. She always enjoyed life.
Preceding her in death was 1 son, Jimmy Brown; 1 daughter, Kathy Easterwood Womack; 1 grandson and 3 great grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bill Brown of Farmerville; 3 sons: Frankie L. Brown and wife, Joann of Monroe; Danny L. Brown & wife, Ann of Ft. Worth, TX and Randy P. Brown and wife, Sandra of Farmerville; one daughter: Diane Spillers and husband, Bruce of Farmerville; 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind her little sweet dog, Charlie, and many, many friends. She will be truly missed.
Pallbearers were Randy Spillers, Ervin Anderson, Barry Lockwood, Aaron Brown, Robert Brown and Jarred Brown. Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons and great grandsons.
